I learned a fair bit, but not so much from the actual discussions and threads and more from just absorbing the ideas of what works and what doesn't, what looks good and what doesn't, etc
lurk moar can be infuriating advice but it's also the best

too many people treat this as a place for direct question and answer, but that's not how style works

you analyze inspiring images and decide what you like about them, you look at the waywt threads and decide why all of the fits suck, then you apply it to yourself

there have been a few really helpful posters, /fa/scist faggot comes to mind, that are worth actually listening to but by and large the discussion on here is just people saying the opposite of each other and calling everyone fags, cucks, and numales
