Hey, I was kind of autistic about shoes being comfortable when I was little, so now my feet are really wide. Any brands that might fit?

I also have very wide feet.

New Balance Made in America are good for sneakers.

You can custom order width up pretty damn high.

Allen Edmonds will set you up with any width in-store for leather/dress shoes, and you can get a pair for $250-500. Not expensive at all considering they're custom width and you will buy one pair every 10 years or more for each color.

I've had the same 3 pairs of new balance for 5-6 years and the same 5 pairs of Allen Edmonds for the last 10-15. Buying high quality shoes is important when you need custom width.

wide shoes let your feet spread out and go flat, making them wider over time. kids who buy sizes up in shoes while developing so they will be more comfortable end up with fucked up swimming fin feet.

Vivobarefoot has wide shoes, but the soles are not thick at all. And the quality can be a bit iffy most of the time.

Then explain what happened when we wuz cavemen with no shoes. Wouldn't our feet be like pancakes and evolved so?

You sort of have it backwards. Most shoes compress the ball of the foot and contort the toes. Wearing the properly sized shoes will lessen the compression, and it won't make the arches go flat. If anything, too-tight shoes can contribute to fallen arches, excessive probation/supination, etc. I wear very wide shoes and I have normal arches.

I have wide feet too. Vans are pretty good, wear them for a few days to break them in and they stretch to accommodate your feet.
