Post your eyewear. I'm blind as a bat without glasses.
The regular one is a bit oxidized but it's all right. It looks like Captain Adama's glasses in battle star galactica (I've only watched the show AFTER getting them obviously)

Honestly I'm surprised to see Savile pop up on here so much (relatively) lately; for such a small maker that didn't even have a proper website till maybe 2 months ago.

Here's my new Beaufort Panto (chestnut, polished gold, nose pads) and Warricks (silver, nose saddle) with curved cable temples.

Why the hell did riding temples ever go out of fashion? So useful for those hot and sweaty tropical days (which is every day for me).

A tip:
If you're going to get the curved temples, I recommend getting them fitted in person at a store.

A tall order since almost no one stocks tester pairs where they're made let alone world wide, and they all have to be made from scratch after you order anyway, well at least mine did.

Oh, and a tip from a Savile factory rep I met when I had mine made:

Because all their stuff made and designed by them, they use a lot of non-standard fittings.

Eg. the screws in the legs: they are NOT standard glasses screws that every optometrist has on hand the world over, so it is especially important that you ensure that when you go to get lenses cut for you new frames that you stress to whatever lensmonkey is handling your frames that if they misplace the Savile screw, NOT to just pop in one they have in their repair bits box.

The screws are different, and so the screwhole is different; screwing in the standard glasses screw will thread the shit out of them leading to a lengthy repair time (and cost) back in London.

When I was there the guy said that they had just this sort of case going on where some clueless optometrist fucked up and used a standard screw in lieu of the Savile one. Repair time was a month and a half and counting when I left England.

DON'T lose the original screws for Savile Row frames.

Get them properly fitted for comfort.
Get good frames so that you're not so self conscious in a bad way.

Glasses are tremendously important when you think about it; they're the first thing people really notice as (most) people look at someone's face before anything else.

Ugly frames do no one justice.
Make sure you made the right choice, and the rest is just wearing them and forgetting about it (until you lose the fuckers after putting them down somewhere before a shower or something and have to fumble around like an epileptic mole looking for them - never gets boring).

That's good enough.

I rely on these peoples' expertise more than I should. If it was a decent store, then they should have decent staff that can assist in choosing the right frames for the right person.

They see a million faces a week, so you'd think that in that time they'd have formed some opinions on what looks good on what kind of face etc., unless they're total deadshits.

As for what would suit your face, typically the face shape thing is a meme except in extreme cases. It's more about size and height/width ratios. There's a thing on the website to "try on" frames, and it'll give you a rough idea of what works and what doesn't.

I would say stay away from anything too thick or heavy, but you could probably pull off round or square medium-sized frames fairly well.

Hory shit. I don't remember exactly but somewhat like -3 and 1 of astigmatism. My shades cost (when the temer wasn't so devaluated) 100$. The normal ones I found when moving to my new apartment, thought they looked nice and sent for small repairs and new lenses. Totally it ended up costing 80$.

Have you considered surgery anon? I had a friend who had similar measures as you, she had to wear contact 23/7 or it was batmode, and she took the laser way. Results were VERY good because she was only myopic. (I think the surgery doesn't fix astigmatism)

make 90% of something in china, send to italy for screwing together and packaging.

voila

or, even worse, since northern italy is infested with towns with imported chinese coolie slaves (look it up; i'm not lying) you're being severely overcharged for "italian" luxury goods anyway
