Yes. Then I know who to avoid talking to.

Not that I have anything against people who browse, but wearing a shirt/hat shows a level of autism that means I probably don't want to be seen dead with you.

It's more about the autism the hat represents, then the actual place the hat represents.

Smoking is one of those things that you just have to do if you in order to be taken seriously in any sort of indie setting. You have to enjoy weed more, but you also get more credibility by smoking a cigarette every once in a while – but not excessively.

You see, by the 90s, us millennials were raised being told that we should NOT smoke. But of course, in the early 2000s, people who wanted to be "rebels," such as adventurous young teenagers, would smoke cigarettes in order to seem "cool."

But fast forward to the late 2000s-early 2010s, and we get an indie-led "rebellion against rebellion." It is most evident in the work of the band Vampire Weekend; everything in their music is neat and orderly, they're well-educated (Columbia University), upper class, etc. Ezra Koenig is in a way the perfect usurper to the musical circles of Thom Yorke and Kurt Cobain. The generation got so tired of seeing rebels that they rebelled against it.

But what we are seeing now is a shift in the indie scene towards hip-hop. That's why you get things like Danny Brown and Heems working with Vampire Weekend. You get Joey Bada$$ working with Glass Animals.

Now, hip-hop is *THE* ultimate rebel music. Think N.W.A. - "Fuck Tha Police." But around the same time as the shift from the Yorke-indie to the Koenig-indie, we saw hip-hop shift from the 2pac and Biggie influenced work ("gangsta rap") of the 90s to the Kanye West influenced style that would truly shift the focus of hip-hop. Of course, you still have hip-hop that follows the old gangsta style (Kendrick, YG, etc), but there's also a lot that follows the a more West-influenced style (Chance the Rapper, Drake, etc).

But the Kanye West style was much more in line with the Vampire Weekend style, not as much in the actual musical content, but in the idea of a rebellion against what was a typically rebellious art form, the former predominantly involving blacks, and the latter predominantly involving whites.

This didn't fit in my first post:

So what eventually happened is that the two genres began merging and in a way phased away from the "rebellion against rebelling" smoking weed was of course always popular in hip-hop, but it has also entered the mainstream in indie, and cigarettes came back along with that.

Opium is impossible to find on the streets unless you live in the middle-east or use the darknet. Take 20mg of norco instead, it should only be $10 if your area doesn't tax.
