What pieces should I buy to build a foundation to a wardrobe?

I'm a guy, not very effay, 171cm (~5'7"), 170 lbs. but kind of muscled so I'm not fat. My wardrobe is pretty much non-existent so I want to start from scratch. What are the essentials to construct the base to an effay wardrobe on less than $600?

I'm a 19 year old student, my work has a uniform, I live in Canada- specifically, Southern Ontario/Toronto area- so the climate fluctuates a lot (really hot in the summer, really cold in the winter), and I'm a decently pale white person.

I'd say buy banana republic shit on sale for your budget. The place is the best store at the mall for your buck. They sell linen shirts, pants, and even suits in summer and wool coats and sweaters in the winter. Just go during the 40% off sales and it's well priced.

You need two linen button downs and a pair of linen pants for summer.

you need 5 nice plain colored tee shirts

you need a pair of lightwash and a pair of indigo jeans

you need a pair of brown or khaki chinos

you need a couple of oxfords

you need a pair of wool trousers

you need a thin wool sweater and a thick wool sweater

you need a topcoat

you need a light jacket like nylon or denim

you need a down jacket for winter

not including boots and shoes

Seriously though dude, buy as you go. Stores don't stock winter clothes in summer and vice versa. You aren't going to buy everything you will ever need for 700 dollars. Just buy what you need when you need it and get it on sale. Read the sticky on how things should fit and read some gqs. Look at a celebrity who has a similar complexion and build to you because they all have personal stylists who know how to make them look good.

jeans, sweaters, linen shirts, oxfords, all are normal clothes to have

When I was 19 I wore white tee shirts with charcoal jeans and black sneakers and lifted weights. I like br clothes because they fit well and are as nice as nordstrom shit for far less.
