Urban Techwear is the futuristic, dystopian aesthetic centered around living in a city-like environment. Enabling the wearer to liberating movements and functionality that a commuter through an urban jungle would need. This is not to be confused with the whole; technical clothing, which is based solely on providing functional attire. With this broad definition, it allows designers to skew on what shape technical clothing takes. To remember it simply, technical clothing is broad and doesn’t take any form, urban techwear is just the name of the branch that gives its shape.

Already I see a few problems with it, one example is in the discription of Outlier and our ability being unable to update it. Please recommend any changes and input on brands you'll like to see

China's cities such as Hong Kong, Shanghai are really compared to other cities in the world cyberpunk. Lot of East Asian cities, probably excluding those in Japan and South Korea give off the futuristic vibe. Makes sense how Asians are the best at pulling this aesthetic off.

this is probably my absolute fave techwear fit
its so creative and unique, but at the same time really really cool and functional
simply awesome
you can tell this guy is realy fit too and probably trains martial arts

Yeah I've started taking masks and gloves off my fits, and putting colour too, but I've made the mistake of using earth tones, so it looks just as or even more terror-core

Nothing wrong with earth tones as long as you pull it off casually. When I said milspec, I was referring to magazine pouches and military-esque vests, which seem to be really popular with some of the techwear crowd.

Techwear is about using your environment to your advantage.

Techwear should be about making life easier, and reinforcing an idea of "using the right tool for the job"

While everyone else avoids the rain, you should be just fine running through it, or going out in heavy snow because you're wearing the right shit for it.

But- the aesthetic plays a role. You don't want to look like an alpine skier. (Whom wear bright colors for obvious reasons.) The aesthetic of techwear is to blend in with your environment and work with it to become seamless.

That's more of a philosophical take on things. In short- Plan ahead. Don't be stupid. Wear stuff that lasts and works.

Please note that I'm not implying color is bad. Infact, color is great, when it's done correctly. For instance, the Pink / Yellow Prestos are a perfect example or ACR's object dyed jackets. Adding those into a fit is a great way to add some life, and make you look less school shooter, and more, average person. Because that's the end result right? You want to look average but excel at it.

Of course tightly waved cotton will not be water proof but on the other side it's far more breathable than gore tex which is something some people might prefer over waterproofing.

i need it to be waterproof. vents would be cool. i under $150 if possible.

like today it was raining but 75 degrees & humid af, so i didn't want to put on my parka. i used an umbrella, but obvi umbrellas are shit tier. any good recs for a cheap item to take care of this?

If it's anything like adding acrylic to wool it makes it really soft to the touch and can stop it feeling itchy, other than that there is always different wool types like merino, llama or cashmere. As an aside, I would probably say merino is best for active stuff in the winter but I think llama feels the nicest against skin.
