Pretty bad I know.

While I have a large forehead, I don't think I'm truly balding. All the men in my family have high hairlines yet have retained full heads of hair into the 70s.

However my hair grows insanely slow. I had my head completely buzzed and the hair on top is what has grown in like 8 months, but I'm insistent on letting it grow out. I'm taking biotin and multivitamins and have been looking into castor oil.

I've tried the buzz, but my hair is simply too light blonde and I look like a cancer patient. My facial hair grows pretty fast and thick, so I could always compensate with a beard.


Guys idk what to do and I don't want to be a nu-male cliche.

You're definitely balding. It's not your forehead, you can see how thin it is on top compared to the sides, which look pretty thin anyway. Thankfully, you have the perfect balding pattern to do the hair cut in pic related. I personally think it's pretty cool looking, and plan to do it myself when I inevitably start to thin (thanks grandpa).

Also, you need to lose the glasses, and get some contacts. Glasses, thick or thin rimmed, have a habit of making white balding men look like sex offenders.

I had thick, curly hair and up until I was 10 I lived on the East Coast with a lot of humidity and never had any issues with my hair. That was until I moved to Las Vegas. Within about 7 months of living there I started to notice white flakes whenever I touched my hair. It got so bad that I decided to cut my 4 inches of curly hair down to a #2 in 7th grade. Worst mistake. No matter how much I washed and scrubbed my hair the flakes were there. I had a friend ask me after lunch if someone put bread crumbs in my hair it was that bad. Over time it greatly decreased but whenever I grew my hair out all I had to do was touch my hair and it would still sprinkle flakes.

After living there I moved back to the East Coast 5 years ago and thought that my hair would return to normal due to it not being nearly as dry. It didn't. Also over the years my hair has become incredibly dry and frizzy. It is still curly as hell but really unmanageable and every little thing will make it look bad. I have to wash my hair every day because that is the only way I can get it back to looking right after I sleep. In 2015 I found Head and Shoulders Dry Scalp. Sometimes I feel it works and sometimes I feel it doesn't. My current showers go like so. Rinse hair, Cantu Moisturizing Shampoo + a dab of Head & Shoulders, lather, rinse, repeat and then Cantu moisturizing conditioner. The reason I shampoo twice is because my hair is so fucking dry that the first wash doesn't even foam up at all.

Now the weird thing is now that when I have my hair at around anything at a 4 or lower I don't see the flaking but when it starts to get around an inch + is when after a few hours and I touch my hair there is flaking. I've also noticed that my hair/scalp gets really oily. I've tried the whole no washing hair everyday thing but it just doesn't work with my hair.


Any recommendations or tips? I would greatly appreciate it.

I have used mainly Baxter of California Clay Pomade and Hanz de Fuko Claymation, but I want to try something new, maybe a bit cheaper too.

Get some exercise. Specifically, daily or near-daily moderate to high intensity exercise for 45 minutes or more. It will do wonders for your circulation which will fix your dry scalp. Just don't overdo it on the hot water shampoo, take a cool shower and use a moisturizing shampoo and a good conditioner.

Do you use conditioner? If not start. Your hair looks super dry anf frizzy. My advice is trim the beard+stashe a little, shave or taper the sides abit(let the beard the longer than the shorter part of your sides and let the longer part of your sides be the same as your beard/around that. Think that would suit your face shape and you get to rock some nice curls

Don't trim it. Keep it this side, but go to the barber every 3-4 weeks to keep it tidy. Cut the beard a bit shorter and make sure to shave the neckbeard (can't see in pic).

Your have a godtier hairline and your skin looks healthy too. So much potential if you lose a bit of weight dude. Your face will slim down, you can lose the beard, cut 2 inches of your hair, get some fresh frames and you're golden.

21 with thinning crown here. Get yourself a nice pair of Wahl hair clippers off Amazon so you can do it yourself. The first time is scary if you've never had a buzz before. It also might be scary to see your head shape clearly for the first time. It's easier to get adjusted to it if it's in your own home. Once you get used to it though, it's the most satisfying feeling ever.

I own the Wahl Color Pro because I'm an autistic that likes color coded guards. It does actually make them a little easier to identify though. All in all, it doesn't really matter what clipper you choose as long as you get a nice selection of guards to go with it. Get one that's in your price range. Wahl clippers generally last a while.

As for mine, I generally use a 1, which is short enough to look nice and clean. Some people like to use disposables to try and get a Mr. Clean look, but I prefer to keep the stubble. It's less scalp maintenance too. You can keep it for about a week before it looks noticeabley more unkempt. Then you can just shave again on weekends.

So, I've recently decided to let my hair grow as I'm falling for the long-haired meme. The problem is my last cut wasn't "homogeneous", basically my hair on the top are very long and (were) buzzcut on the sides.

Nothings more popular than black culture right now, so most guys (white and black) are going for fades with longer hair on top. BUT don't shave the sides off altogether, it looks horrendous. Pic related, its VERY hard to fuck this hairstyle up and VERY easy to work with. Get some sculpting clay though. All of you. Get sculpting clay. Gel isn't enough for most of you.

Don't shave the back and let some hair grow down at the temples, showing either the full or at least the back of the ears. I'm not a fan of the straight bangs like that, but it works. Alternative is to have them short and pushed over to the side, adding to one of the temples. Trim that side down some so the visual weight is balanced.

Otherwise you're going to look like something out of cyberpunk or a prison.
