I was 5'10" and weighed 206 when I started browsing these threads back in May and decided to lose weight.

This morning I weighed in at 186 - I weigh myself twice each day once in the morning and once at night and go by the average for that day, but this was the first time I could say that I have lost 20lbs :')

I'm hoping I can keep it up and lose 40lbs before the end of the year.

Cereal isn't necessarily bad, just needs to be the right kind. Weetabix, shredded wheat, bran flakes, any wholegrain cereal is good. Sugary kid cereal, not so much. Good with yogurt or milk.

-Human bones are very malleable, force from facial muscles and the tongue alter the shape of the bones
-All of these factors combined have led to poor form and function of the face:

-- a lack of horizontal growth
-- short, receding chins
-- narrow palates
-- crowded, poorly aligned teeth
-- recessed, elongated midfaces with poor cheekbones
-- less room for the tongue, leading to snoring, sleep apnoea, general breathing problems
-- etc.
The best way to try to fix these problems if you are already affected is to ensure that the teeth are together, the lips are together and the tongue is on the roof of the mouth, as well as chewing a lot of tough foods.

terrible for losing weight though. Studies have pointed out that not having breakfast leads to you being a) tired throughout the day and more importantly b) be disproportionaly hungry throughout the day. This makes you more likely to eat more during for lunch and dinner.

It is better to just have breakfast and if you skip a meal (which I don't reccomend), skip dinner (you do not really need the energy at night and you won't burn the calories).

As far as I know there is no *solid* proof that improvements can't be made at later stages in life.

There is however proof that the contrary is true (pic related). Before he contracted ALS (which, keep in mind, is not a disease in the bones), steven hawking had a normal face. Afterwards, due to change in posture, muscle tone & breathing his face "melted" down.

There is also a handfull of people anecdotically claiming improvements during their adult life.

have you guys ever tried stuff like intermittent fasting? basically, it's better to eat all your calories within a ~6 hour period and stick to tea/coffee/extremely low calorie vegetables and water for the rest of the time. and if you have nothing substantial in your system for 20 hours or so, your body (supposedly) burns more fat, rather than burning those 150 calories of carbs you just ate or whatever.

for me, it's easier to not eat for a few hours after i wake up because i dont really get cravings until after i eat something, even if its small. also i kind of like the feeling of being hungry, and don't need energy for work until the evenings. could just be a meme though, we'll see.

there's also variants where you eat normal intake for a day and then nothing at all the next day etc, but i dont know if i could handle that personally.

I do it religiously and love it. I follow the 8 hour/16 hour pattern. I eat between noon and 8pm and fast otherwise. I drink water throughout, and also allow myself coffee and tea outside of my eating hours. (Coffee in the early morning helps me make be productive/energetic till I can eat at noon.)

IF doesn't equal more weight loss but it equals more fat loss. CICO still applies to it but you're more likely to lose more fat than muscle whereas traditional dieting you lose kind of an equal ratio of both.

I don't think many starve. A lot are scouted as teens and as they're tall they're more likely to have quite fast metabolisms as that much growth requires a lot of energy. I do know though that HF models aren't expected to eat the food put out at shows: they put food out backstage so they technically can eat it but it's not a 'done' thing unless there's salad or they're a big name. many girls take their own food though. So when you hear in an interview with models that are asked about food at a show, you can be pretty certain they're reeling off stuff they didn't actually eat.

But no, their bodies are their work so most take good care of themselves. You also have to remember that their hair, skin and general appearance still need to be in good condition for jobs, not just their weight, and they need a lot of energy.
