Alright, questions.

Guy with back long hair here, good volume, nice wave, good hair by all accounts. But I look like a fucking trap with it out, don't like that, so gotta get rid of it, firstly; I have a high hairline so tying it back looks pretty shit, so is there anything I can do with it, whilst keeping it long to A: look masculine and B: cover my hairline, or should I just get the chop and go down to short hair with bangs. Like a slav.
