No improvement on my temples yet but tiny hairs have started to grow out of the follicles where my hairline receeds a bit

I need to find a new job, but I also have been regrowing my hair since my last job hunt.

I don't want to go nuclear back to an HY because 99% of guys here have it.

What you should do is, wear your hair like the middle picture, but take your hair in on the sides. Pretty much a long undercut

I've been letting my hair grow for a while now, pic related. There's a few inches difference between the length at the sides and the back and I was planning to wait until the sides touched my shoulders and then get the lengths evened up all around, however I've got an interview coming up.

Company culture is casual and I already know that it's okay to interview without a suit, but should I do something about the length difference?

I'm not sure if I should get a trim,if I should leave it be or just completely change my hair.
I've had tell me I look better with long hair and I've had people tell me I look better with short hair.I like the long hair it just gets in the way all of the time when it's not pulled back.

I had a similar cut a few months ago.

I was afraid to get a 4 on the sides, so the barber cut a little less off (a higher number like 5 or 6?) and trimmed the top

This time I got a 4 on the sides and a trim on top. It looks shorter on the sides then sheen's... and a little shorter than his top too,
