The music videos and certainly are, but kpop stars ruin any chance of an /fa/ image with those stupid variety and reality shows they're obligated to do. The way they replay anything 'weird' that happens over and over adds to that. I also don't like the way that the management companies cater so much to the fans, they shoehorn in a lot of unnecessary things just to sell more merchandise.

these are kpop stars, north american celebrities may dress like this, but not all white people dress like this nor do all Korean people, mainly just the Korean celebrities do. In comparison between white celebrities I still think the Koreans just wear higher quality clothes and overall fits, where as white ones don't seem too put as much effort into their fits.

Yes 100%. Male kpop singers appear to embrace DESIGNER wear (read not meme streetwear brands) a hell of a lot more than any western artists do and I can appreciate them for that. Plus their style is usually really fucking cool. A lot of kpop stuff is in my inspo and seeing as I'm a manlet myself I can usually rely on them.

Korea has a thing for "airport fashion," where paparazzi photograph them whenever they leave/enter the country. Most kpop groups have a company communal closet. A lot of these outfits are "sponsored" from boutiques as well, but are returned after worn.

the work I did was for korean hip hop labels
i guess I was a creative director; I made/pitched video concepts, sourced talent, and supervised overall image/details etc.

I liked the Television collection but it's a little bit too graphic. The Star Wars one seemed more tone down. You have black/white with red and blue stripes and occasionally Sith or Jedi written.
But to be honest I'm not a big fan of Undercover to wear. I think they know how to put on a show though. Iirc it was last year that they had a Pierrot inspired collection. Very artistic.
And maybe she'll get one. SM's been releasing solos pretty much every month, Sunny's will happen sometime. She can probably do better than Tiffany, so that's reassuring.

As much as I want to like what these stars are wearing, and I'll admit, some of these outfits look really good, it just doesn't feel right to me. Sometimes what they wear looks like a caricature of whatever trends are in at the time, not to mention the already overbearing feeling of the KPop industry heavily manufacturing their idols to look and act a certain way, probably explaining why when I see these idols in certain outfits, it doesn't look right.

the guy has good personal style, but you will understand once you take a look at his instagram

also, another reason is labels use kpop bands as a means of indirect marketing...ie literally anything GD wears, the mass consumes...many gd clones in seoul it makes me sick to see them on streets stuntin'
