The silhouette is better than converse. I haven't had the chuck IIs yet but I still prefer flyers.

Bought these two years ago and they're easily my favorite and most worn shoe ever. Superior in every way to chucks. Good canvas, good insoles, cotton laces, rugged toe box. Only complaint is that the midsole splits and breaks where your foot bends after heavy use. Only recently retired them because they were getting gross. Picked black and white because it goes with absolutely anything in my closet. Great beater shoes
