I only use cheap nettle shampoo, it's like 5 bucks here, comes in big bottles and gives my scalp a nice refreshing feeling. I find label shampoos shitty and they give me the feeling that my hair is oily.
I don't use conditioner. I tried conditioners 3 times in my life, but nothing was different after using them, so I decided not to use any at all. Felt like a waste of money and time.
I wash my hair with shampoo once a week (or twice if I have a lot of physical work to do and it gets messy/greasy). The rest of the days I just shower it down with water.
My babushka gave me a hint from her times - wash your hair once a month with honey (actually, a 1litre of water/ 1 spoon of honey mixture). It's good. Nothing more to be said.
No products besides that.

Oh, and for drying - headbanging. Do a helicopter and some back-and-forth, and it's all good.

Really, I'm a Slav and I don't have the time nor passion to spend more than 30 minutes daily on my hair.

I'm a regularly published hair stylist. Just telling it like it is. A trained eye can tell from those pictures that in person, the movement of the hair is garbage because there's too much weight on it. There's ways he could make his hair look good at his length but he's not doing it, but he would also have to go shorter and regrow because he didn't properly maintain it while growing.

I grew my hair long a few times, this was from around the 2nd time, and i've learned it's a process of discovering the best way to care for it. us guys have very little 'beauty' advice, and i can tell you here i had split ends like crazy, and it needed to be trimmed. different hair types require different care. mine gets soft and wavy as it's long, but short it was always very course and curly. you hair changes pending on length -- guys that haven't experimented with lengths -- you just gotta keep growing, and not worry about what people think. especially guys with long hair, a lot of people are always going to dislike it - but if you enjoy it, it's always going to be fun for you.

Just hit 2 years of progress. Have gotten maybe 4-5 cuts in between that time, and I'm in pretty bad need of another. Part of me wants to go shorter like >>11377564, another part really likes >>11355542, but either way mine has too much volume and needs some thinning out. And although I need a cut, I'm a little hesitant to get one because I've got a bunch of scabs on my scalp that I'd rather not have a cutter look at while they're working.

Pic is with no product and washed yesterday. I'm doing no poo, but I also developed the scabs when I used shampoo, so I don't think that's the cause. Not trying to grow a beard (I can't), that's just weeklong stubble from being sick. I am aware of the fat face, and am working on it.
