Anyone have on-feet pics of the more recent ramones boots? They seem a lot slimmer than the older models, which were too wide at the top for my taste.

Just copped a ss15 horse leather pair and I'm hoping they fit as I imagine. I believe he used the on the runway with pants over the uppers (correct me if i'm wrong) so that also suggests their newfound slimness.

tag is definitely legit. My zipper is from at least 2012 so I wouldn't be surprised if something changes in those 3 years. I've seen more recent Raccs that show similar damage, now that I think about it.

Hmm I'll take a look later tonight and see how far back I can identify the slimmer top. Didn't think it was as far back as 2012 that you could wear pants over them, something I am fairly certain wasn't possible with the classic ones.

as for the wash tags, the real ones always have dotted printing (the amount of dotting varies - some of them are super dotted like yours, but others you'll have to look very carefully)

that's always been my most reliable way to tell.

but you can also get used to the characteristics of all rick items (eg the shape, the drawstrings/zippers used, the fonts used, the layout of the tag ...)

as someone who is 6'2 170lbs will a size M be big enough for me?
I heard the sizing on these is better to be a bit tighter so you can drape it well.

Nubuck is full grain leather that has had the top sanded, making it smoother and slightly more durable than suede.

Reverse or "rough out" leather is full grain that has been turned upside down, so that the rough, uneven side of the leather is outside (the side that usually touches the meat). It's more durable than suede, and is frequently used by Red Wing & similar brands to make work boots.

IDK how blistered leather is made but it seems to be chemically treated, it's pretty thin as a jacket material and I've never seen it up close as a shoe.

Do Geos look best laced tight or loose?

When they're loose they look bad with all pants from the front but great from the back

When they're tight they just look like standard shoes.

What are the definitive answers? Is there a master way to tie Geos?

yep. black ramones are the only rick model that could look good in yy especially if you make the pants and the shoes flow smoothly without any break like >>11302659. they look sorta similar to converse shoes which you often see paired with yy fits. i'd say stick with highs like the post earlier or if you go with lows add a single break on the pants or taper and get black socks

Hey guys. Recently bought a second pair of geos second hand and initially I thought they were fine but today I noticed some dicey things about them. The stitching on each shoe ends at different points. One shoe seems to have the correct stitching and the other has stitching that ends sooner than it should. Can anyone please tell me if they are legit or not. Thanks

All looks good to me, aside from that slightly uneven stitching. Labeling is definitely correct in terms of format/font when compared to my 2015 geos. Zips are also good, and fakes never have a toe box with the right structure as in >>11303261

I was just trown off a bit by the stitching, the internal leather feels like my other geos but they are nubuck so I can't compare the outer leather. Also the tote bag it came with was really thin where most rick tote bags I've owned (3) have all been made from very thick cotton.
