btw I have wavy hair and I can achieve the style but you need to blow dry it in place first.
Like you see in the picture, blow dry one side back and in, then the other side, use a curling brush LIGHTLY to build volume and curl the hair inwards. I say lightly because you don't want to look like you've left your grans curling rollers in your hair. Use pomade to style and hold in place.

And for frizzy hair, use deep conditioner twice a week

Need some help/input

I have undercut-length hair, and I've been shampooing only once every 3 days for the past few years (which has done wonders for flakiness/itchiness but that's not the point). I love the natural hold and awesome volume my hair has on the 3rd day, but these qualities disappear when I shampoo and can't really be replicated by product.

Is there any way to clean hair without completely killing the natural hold and volume that comes with not shampooing? Complete no-poo is not really an option as I work out and run quite a bit and the hair tends to get overly gunky if I don't wash for too long
