Maybe among the older population. But among the younger generation i'd say 5/10. China it would be worn for medical/health reasons but in places like Japan and Korea it isn't needed. It's become a fashion accessory among Asians and other people.

Because pollution and germs. You'll mostly see it worn in airports because airplane environment is nasty as fuck, but in china it's basically a staple because their pollution is too big of a problem.
