Thinking of getting my medium-length hair cut shorter, it's just too much work. Pretty much the only reason why I like to keep my hair longer is to hide the sides of my face as I have a incredibly round face, but I'm pretty sure it's noticeable even with hair covering half my face. Should I just embrace my round face and go for a shorter hairstyle?

What's up with no poo?

I've been going water only for a while now, and the only problam is that my barber tells me my hair is too dry and that I should condition it.

Advice would be great as I'm going to be cutting it soon too.

Posted this in last thread but it sort of died before I got any advice.
Not feeling confident in my hair right now, especially the back part. I sort of would like to get to a young leo-esque look. An anon suggested I ask to get my sides cleaned up, what would this really entail? Should I keep it long on the top, go for a fade, or what do you anons think? I grew it out for a pretty long time, I think about 5-6 months, and then I got it cut. I cleaned up the top but kept it long, and cut my left side shortish, but not close really to buzzed. Kept the right side a bit longer because I sweep the too to that side. If you like it, go for it. I feel like if I was better at styling I could make it look pretty good, but the truth is I'm still pretty novice. Still not sure what I want to do with it, the top is at the point where its right in my eyes but I like the look long. Also thanks for the kind words anon

Anyone else struggle with dandruff? I do the whole no poo meme but if I miss a shower one day it seems like I get snowy on top quickly. Additionally, my beard is apparently long enough for dandruff now. I use nizoral (SP?) and it takes care of it quick (1-2 washes tops) but then my hair is dry and awful for the next 5 days. Any suggestions?

I like layrite its a love it or hate it kind of product but I like the fact I can shower and get it all out of my hair before I go to bed at night. Other products I have tried is Suavecito, I cannot stand the smell personally it's a love it or hate it kind of thing. Don't get American Crew or any of those salon products, they're over priced. Homebrew stuff work just as well and are priced well.

I would go for either medium or heavy holds.

As for oil vs water its up to you. I have both so I just sort of use whatever's most convenient. If i'm in a hurry I use the water based stuff since its like gel. If I have extra time I usually go for the oil stuff because it works overall better. If you have a good oil based pomade, washing it off won't be tough.

Been doing no-poo for three weeks now. I thought it would get easier faster, but it hurts and feels like it's solidifying and compacting. The gut pain is unimaginable to do-pooers. I'm suffering pic related and I'm pretty sure it should be reversible. MPB is rare in my family, my dad has a full head of hair, my half brother (+9 yr senior) has a receding hairline but is far from bald.

I wear my hair at about medium length and I used to get compliments on it a lot, it wasn't until a week ago I realized it was getting a lot thinner around the cowlick and I could see scalp beneath the thinning parts. No bald patches, but the amount of hairs were thinning. This was a big kick in the teeth and I wore a hat for a week in public before I started going out again today.

After a bit of reading I'm pretty sure this can be reversible, can't it? I'm a smoker of three years, but I can cut back. I used to diet but stopped recently after a big move (to uni) but I can get back into that habit too. I have wavy hair with a lot of volume and the thinning near the top takes it from looking good to looking awful.

Has anyone succeeded in regrowing/rethickening their hair? A lot of people say it can be redone and I'd very much like to have my full head of hair back, I'd just need to know what I have to do.

Maybe a dumb question, but is there a certain "style" of buzzcut that is best. I have a high hairline, but I don't think I'm balding since both my dad and even grandpa have very similar hair at age 54 and 72.

However, my hair is extremely blonde and if I get a short buzz I look legit shaved bald until you're close to me. Last time I asked on /fa/ and tried out a buzz I went for a 1 on the sides/back and 3 on top.

Any tips on the length/style of buzz? My hair grows painfully slow, but I guess I could grow it out too. Not really even sure what I'd look like since I've always kept it sorta short

Damn, I'd rather keep my beard than anything but I guess I'll just have to suck it up, and my grandparent's hate my hair and had the connections to get my job, so not cutting it would be very rude (they keep saying that it's mandatory and I just want them off my back)

People with dandruff, what do you do? I have pretty bad scalp dryness/redness and get like little bumps on my scalp. I've been going no poo for about a year hoping I was just fucking with the oils in my head but it hasn't helped. I noticed its worse when I have short hair.

Please help.
