I'm looking for a pair of every day shoes (sneakers ideally) for spring/summer, but also not trying to break the bank. I was considering Stan Smiths, Killshots, or Jack Parcells but I'd like some other input. Seems like that's about the best I can do for ~$125

Regardless of negro status or lack thereof, if I were to get Adidas are Stan Smiths really that memecore? Would Sambas/Superstars be my best bet?

Still not completely against Chuck Taylors or Jack Percells either, I've never owned a Converse shoe and I feel like they're pretty versatile even if a bit childish.

How is the sizing on Sambas? Some say they fit tight, Adidas truefit says they are true to size.

Right now I am wearing Vans 9UK and they fit ok.

Anyways, asking because I found Sambas on sale and they have only 9.5UK

Adidas has weird sizing and I'd say to go and try them on in person before buying online. The euro sizes are the ones you should go by, the conversion to US or Uk is wonky. For example, there's no true EUR45 but a EUR45 1/3. So that'd mean they're too big for a US11 and too small for a US11,5.

I'm a size US11,5 in vans authentics and I bought a EUR45 1/3 in Adidas sambas. Had to sell them again because they were too tight.

I'll say it depends on the fit and on how similar the shades of green are. If they're different enough it could work. If they are too similar it COULD look off, but as long as you offset your clothes and take on SOME other color or accenting I wouldn't worry too much about it. Also corduroy's have texture which could help prevent weirdness even if they do happen to be very similar colors.

Generally jeans with high top shoes don't look too good unless they're really skinny. You don't want that "my jeans are too long so they bunch up over my white New Balances" look with any shoe, period. I live in Florida and I occasionally see people wearing boat shoes with jeans and even they look a little bit wrong. But my style is driving moccasins and chino shorts usually so you should take my opinion with a grain of salt
