I find them kinda ugly to be honest.
I'm getting new glasses this week. I have an oval face and large eyes, I have no idea what sort of frames to get. I find plastic rim glasses hurt my ears after a while.

i'm talking out of my ass here, but truly round glasses don't add any definition to your face. they kind of just follow their own silhouette. if your face is a shapeless blob already they aren't going to do much for you. you can wear them and they'll look fine but in my humble opinion they may not be the best choice. i'm by no means recommending angular glasses, not the biggest fan of those. but something a little more sculpted might show up better on a babyface, you never know.

when I was looking for frames I just made a list of boutiques and visited them all during a couple of days

some I would recommend are:

cutler and gross
bailey nelson
mellon and taub
optix
eyeworks london
joy optical

best to go for boutiques for better service and rarer frames if you want those

make sure you go early because time flies when you're browsing. and if you have time after just take a walk around kensington and you're bound to come across some cool eyewear shops
