/fit/ here, studying abroad at Hong Kong next spring, and I'm looking for a tailor. Any recommendations?

Ignore him. Asia have some excellent tailor. Go to any reputable ones and you'll see that most of their fabric include imported premium wool from all over the world, particularly from Australia and Italy. It's a fantastic way to get a full canvased suit made to measure without spending a thousand. I think it'll be best if you show them a picture of how you want your suit to fit first while they take your measurements because giving instruction like "loose" "tight" or "normal" is very vague. Good luck!

Check out The Amoury situated in the Landmark, they have their own webpage. That said, I should add that it is rather pricey.

Also check out Il Sarto near Sheung Wan on Queen's Road Central. Not a bad place and the price is acceptable. I've had a few of mine made there. I can post pictures if requested.

go to the styleforum
they regularly mention two or so tailors that do the full canvassed shebang properly

it may not necessarily be as "cheap" as you may want it though, probably 1200USD or something.

hey, cheaper than savile row, not "just as good", but passable enough for all but the most discerning

I believe one's called cheng
and the other may be called "sam's tailor"
they've been at it in hk for ages and ages

ps
hk is getting shittier by the minute
god damn red chinese ruin everything my honky friends all want to leave/commit suicide.

mainlanders are the scum of the earth

WW Chang seems to be a really good option in HK, where they offer a bespoke suit for the price of a regular MTM at most decent tailors.

I'm not sure if B&Tailor are located in HK, but I'd love to get a suit from them.
