How do I develop a personal style that doesn't look like I just copied and pasted an outfit from a magazine onto myself?

I want to look good, but at the same time I don't want my clothes to define me. I would prefer that I define my clothes, instead.

So you're saying I'm taking clothes too seriously?

no he's saying lurk places other than here, because this is a decent place to get a feel for the "rules" i.e. what usually looks good and what usually looks bad, but as far as developing a personal style and just doing your own thing, /fa/ is pretty shit

eh I mean lurk here
maybe I should've just said that
/fa/ is definitely no worse than reddit in terms of developing someone's own personal style
I think I see a lot more variety here than in mfa

It takes time. Pay attention to how other people dress, but consider what kind of person you are or want to be or present yourself as.

>>10704828 really feel like you need to experiment yourself, don't be afraid to fuck up. you try to copy what other people look good in and you're gonna struggle. You'll know when you wear something you feel comfortable in

Fashion should reflect your lifestyle and your personality. It should look and feel natural.
