What have you completed?

What are you working on?

What are you planning to make?

I am working on something similar to this. Does anyone know how to get the edges fucked up like that though? Does it just degrade over time depending on the material stitched on?

Questions m8s:

1. I have pic related and I want to change the patterned part of the hood. Worth it? Could I just straight up dye that part black?

2. The buttons are f-ing annoying at the front, could I just add velcro to it? I'm assuming this is easy, you just stick it on?

>> No.10637941

>>10637936

I dont know if it would dye well. can you not just seam rip that part out?

also you would probably want to stitch the velcro on. I would think those would be under a lot of stress. It would be super easy and you wouldnt need anything but a needle and thread

So for this to work, do you have to do anything to the original material? Or do you just stitch the patches on top of it?

you can put the patches directly on top of the original material.

I wish I could get a better picture but I lost my phone charger and I had to use a fucking shitty webcam from my laptop and bathroom lighting because everything else was too dark

Don't know what I'm going to do with it.

Working on: Nothing atm.

Planning: Going to make myself a pour-over coffee stand, razor stand, and a toothbrush holder using wood and metal.

You need to check the type of material the coat is made out of to see if it would even take any dye

I'll still check the velcros.

I saw a large military duffel bag earlier at work, and I thought about repurposing it into a piece of clothing. But then I realised that I have no experience nor knowledge in this subject, so I didn't bother.

Pic related, what I was thinking of doing. Didn't know there was already something like that.

If you want to get that thick fraying, throw any sort of denim that you cut or tore in the dryer after washing it. It will fray like crazy.

Warning: It's still a fucking dryer so expect shrinkage.

Maybe you guys could help me out

I bought a Schott Perfecto for pretty cheap but it has studs on it. assuming its the four prong pyramind studs. I'm not afraid of the holes but I'm afraid there's going to be stupid fucking square imprints on the leather.

And if it means anything I could make a mean iron on tshirt fa.m

I think all you do is get a pattern cut the bag into the pieces and sew it together. You are probably going to fuck it up but it doesnt matter because its supposed to look kinda like that
