Check some scottish brands like jamiesons of shetland or aran sweater market for european made knits for a good price, or sns herning and inverallan for more high end stuff. As always, check grailed and ebay first, you might end up with a real bargain.
Other than those, almost any mid-priced brand offers solid knits.

I bought the hm x beckham sweater in june, has held up alright, the collar is pretty high so whenever un-dressy I just throw any t-shirt under it and it's all good since no one can see it. On the other hand as >>10628925 said the materials aren't that high quality of course, mainly the said collar has become a little loose.
