I'm sorry, I don't have the funds to buy a $300 designer jacket. I understand that it probably lasts longer and carries more of a fashion statement and emits beams of holy effay light, but I don't have the money for it.

My budget is pretty much restricted to average department store costs. $20-30 at most for a t-shirt, $60 max for jeans, and no more than $150 for some nice kicks. However, I still want to have a place with the cool kids on here who have their sexy designer clothes.

What can you recommend for the little poorfag girl who wants to be a star? My style can generally be described as cute-nerd-chic, but I'm open to all kinds of styles. Also it's getting cold out here in Chicago so I'm seeking warm wear for the winter ATM, but I'd eventually like to dress effay year-round

Seriously, make a tour of the thrift shops in your town and keep checking them out sometimes.

Also, military surplus might suit your style. You can get an m65 or m51 for under a hundred, probably. A decent repro too. They'll keep you warm and can look really cute accessorized right.

It's signifigantly easier to be an /fa/ girl than it is to be an /fa/ man on any budget, because you can get away with being cute. Abuse this as much as possible.

Please sit on my face.

I can't really comment as I don't know Etsy all too well and bigcartels are subjective. Best thing to do for etsy it just search what youre looking for (e.g bomber jacket) then brwose and find a store with good feedback. Bigcartels are harder, best to lurk /fa/ and wait for a thread about them to pop up, there's one right now.

old infograph from tripsk, maybe itll help.

I'd recommend getting some chelseas, a tan overcoat and black or light blue skinnies, it may be basic here but youll look like a movie star compared to most.

baggy sweaters and skinnies can be good too, and if theyre too long you can cut them and wear an undershirt as a layer

I am way fucking poorer than you just shop at Goodwill and secondhand vintage stores. Older clothes usually are better and stronger quality and last way longer

I copped a really nice grey Christian Dior cardigan at one for like $25 and only had to mend a little hole in it. Check there.

Probably wasn't mainline Dior tho. A lot of top houses had big time brand diffusion in the 80's and 90's as a way to be more profitable in the short term.
