this. i vary my fits a lot, instead of just sticking to one aesthetic. one day, without even thinking, i was wearing a band tee under an oversized flannel with a backwards hat, and beat up shoes and cargo shorts, i also have long hair. i got a bunch of comments along the lines of me looking straight out of the 90's or, if only i had a skateboard i would be the 90's reincarnate. tucking in definitely works if youve got a layer over, or distinct aesthetic. tucked in tees are distinctly 80s/90s so in a fit like that it wont look bad. assuming you look good and body type. ugly fat neckbeard wont be able to pull it off without being legit. its not to uncommon though i know a lot of older people who still tucked in tees because thats just how they were raised i guess.
