Yes, it could work with grey/white t-shirts. It's decent as far as cardigans go. I'm generally against them because:
>1 the buttons make you look like the gingerbread man
>2 the shape of the gorge often proves too feminine
>3 they are commonly associated with homosexuals
But it's mostly the buttons that irk me. Most of the time, I can only bring myself to approve of cardigans that resemble picrelated because they are heavy and ugly enough to ward off the homosexual appeal.

But in short, yes. It is a perfectly good cardigan.

as long as you're not fat it will still work I suppose, this one is definitely cut a bit longer and cardigans (having somewhat poorly defined shoulders) tend to make people look a little shorter

I would be wary. That pictures look deceiving. Generally, cardigans are very hit and miss.

Also, I am going to murder whoever copped that Stephan Schneider cardigan on Grailed. It was perfect.
