My mountain lights are great; super comfy and sturdy. leather is good quality and the vibram sole has good traction
don't know much about malis but clarks have gotten a fair amount of crap in previous conversations on the subject, mostly relating to the quality

What boots do you guys wear to deal with snow and ice? I'm looking for some inspiration and I hate duck boots.

I also wear mostly black, so I'd assume a black boot is the safest bet, or would the contrast with something like tan look good?
