To cop or not to cop.

I'm in love with this watch because it looks like the one Ryan Gosling was wearing in Drive.
Anyway I have concerns about it. I couldn't find much about Garde Ruhla other than it's a new german company that took an old germany companies name. They also produce Junkers and Zeppelin watches, which is not a bad sign I assume. The movement is a Ronda 6004, which is swiss and that's all I know about it.
It's 140 euros, I don't know much about watches and I only wore Timex and Seiko so far and I can get those for half that price.
Do you guys think it's worth it?

Definitely go for something more classic, or something g else you know he loves. Maybe do entry level luxury too, even if you have the money a $6000 watch on a 17 year old may not be the best idea. Fuck modern dress watches, get an old Omega or something like that. Seriously, you could probably find a half decent vintage Seamaster (looks just like pic related but cheaper) for around $500, especially if you want it stainless and not gold. It would take a bit of hunting though, and you would have to deal with the hassle of buying vintage and all that, but you would have a pretty cool and very elegant Omega.

A safer bet if you want to buy new would be something like a Hamilton Intra-Matic, or if you want a bit less dressy and more sporty then a Hamilton Jazzmaster or one of the SARB033 or SARB035 Seikos. Also, since you don't want a metal bracelet you don't have to worry too much about what strap the watch comes with because you can always budget another $50-200 to pick out your own aftermarket strap which will probably be much nicer than anything the watch comes with anyway.
