If you're even approaching fashion with the mindset of curves, trends, etc., you are always going to be behind.

M8 90s fashion is going hard as of now. Go look at a few Friends episodes and you see tons of fits that are similar, the difference, at least for where I live, is less colors and more minimalisme. The designs, pieces and cuts are all very similar to 90s look.

I don't mind though, I think it looks great

Here's my long term prediction for fashion.

Sometime soon some high end designer (Most likely Rick Owens or someone in his school of thought) is going to put out a menswear line that's essentially a modern take on Greek and Roman robes. Lots of draping, and maybe with some pant-type thing underneath. Eventually this will work its way from the runway to the designers mainline, this becoming high fashion at the same time capes become mainstream.

As the public gets used to capes, fast fashion behemoths will realize how great garments like capes are for their profit margins as they are essentially just a hemmed square with a few embellishments like a collar or a zipper or row of buttons- no excess money spent on making the patterns, sewing the pieces, and assembling the final piece together like there would be when sewing a traditional shirt.

These companies then copy designers making the toga-like garments from earlier, pushing them heavily because they are great for them in the same way capes were: just hemmed shapes with embellishments and strategic draping. The marketing campaign around this will emphasize an aesthetic that is both luxurious and also comfortable, and also that you save money because you're only wearing one garment instead of pants and a shirt, and so you might as well buy two.

By 2030, most younger city dwellers and a few forward thinking middle aged people will be wearing Togas exclusively.
