>Scandinavian fashion

k

>Stutterheim
Their flagship store is small, doesn't have all of their few products, and the service is sub par. Their coats have very nice slim cuts compared to other raincoats, though. The air holes, in the armpit, are too small to make any difference. Their capes is one-size, so it's nothing for someone @ 6'4". "All of our products are meant to fit both males and females" - make that females and men below average Nordic height when it comes to the capes. The hoods on all the products are all a bit too small imo, but they sure will protect you from rain. Overall very sturdy construction.

>Our Legacy
Meh. Generally uninspiring stuff. They just seem to have created some kind of mishmash of contemporary Nordic fashion. Boots (any shoe brand), sneakers (Acne), coats (Whyred), everything. Maybe I'm just fed up with Scandinavian minimalism.

>Tiger of Sweden
The uninformed Scandinavian will probably call it a bit pleb and "boring", but their suits and blazers are absolutely wonderful in cut and fabric. A pair of jeans I own from them are the most comfortable jeans I've ever bought.

>Acne
Currently: Nah. At least they're not boring, but still not fun... Bought pair of lovely thin merino finger gloves from them though.

>Filippa K
Not that inspiring. Good quality, though. I bought a nylon parka a few years ago that has held up really well.

Shirts/Dresswear tier:
Stenströms > Eton > The Shirt Factory

All of the brands offer dress shirts with good cuts and flexible dimensions, but TSF are a notch down in fabric quality and feel. Eton insists on using treated crease-resistant cotton for their shirts which of course improves the look when you're too lazy to iron - but they don't breathe at all. Stenströms offers different kinds of cotton variations and easy custom tailoring.

I found a norse projects sweater while thrifting the other day.

It was size XL and it looked like some moths had gotten at it. Other than that I have to say it seemed like a pretty high quality sweater. It was thick without being heavy.

u kno it's not all about how u look :)

but ya norse projects is pretty bad

got a pair of heavy chinos on sale (cuz full price is way too high for it) and they weren't even the colour they're tagged with---they're navy but tagged black

still comfy tho, don't know other brands that use as heavy fabric, but the construction just isn't great

I really love quality of Norse Projects, but their shoulder size is always to small for me wgile length too long. Our Legacy has at least more or less my shoulder size. So, basically I normally shop at Beams Plus for knits/high end stuff or Uniqlo for basics.

Anyone copped any of Norse's Loose Weave shirts? Had a little feel of one instore and it felt comfy af but only size they had was XL.

I'm thinking of buying those heavy chinos as soon as they go on sale, how are they? are they worth like 60€. I need some thick fabric for winter wear.

>> No.10468252

yeah, norse has some really narrow shoulders. It's kind of suprising considering an average scandinavian has kind of broad shoulders.

the cut is nice, imo. mid-rise, full cut thru til knee then heavily tapered (there's lots of measurements online)

pockets are deep and strong, so that's good

the fabric is heavy and has a light lustre, makes a loud noise when u move around at first but it breaks in eventually

BLACK AROS CHINOS ARE NOT BLACK, they're dark navy which is some shit --- if u want black black black then get w+h (way better)

>pic related
the stitching on mine fucked up after 5 wears on the outseam; it's not noticeable (inside) but it doesn't make me feel confident about them lasting a long time

I think they're worth 60 eurobucks, i paid 100USD for mine and i still wear them often

i just wish i got better pants for more money

EG, w+h, OL are brands i have that are all better quality

I like Norse, I have a few sweaters and a tee from there and I like them a lot. Just bought pic related from Norse for those rainy days. Also bought a shirt from OL, hope it fits me because I feel like the fits from these Scandinavian stores are all over the place.

>> No.10469225

Norse and OL are probably my favorite mid tier brands, they hit a really nice sweet spot between being interesting without being too "im into fashion"

its a real shame that theyre hard to find in montreal, otherwise I'd be wearing way more of it

also Norse socks are perfection

>> No.10469237

OL is usually terrific, but this season is pretty trash unfortunately. Only interesting articles are the "mud" coloured and grey fleece wool suiting.

I know it's not Euro, but a mid-ish tier designer that put out an excellent FW15 is Patrik Ervell.

I got the standard fit chino and they fit nicely for me. If you're skinny af you could get the slim chino, but both of them have a slim fit. They have a nice taper from the legs, and they hit perfectly just above the shoe. The construction is really good, thick and comfortable. The material is nice, too, it seems to have a good depth of color (I got navy)

Want this quite bad, tried it on and it's so soft and comfy.

Not worth the $200 price tag IMO, this is a $120 shirt. I'm not sure if I'll cop as is, wait for sales/secondhand, or look for alternatives.
