Is there a difference? Wtc pic related, gap has a similar (identical?) product for a bit more, not sure if it's worth it. Advice?

>> No.10459483

Gap is seen as more mature, classier, quality. more clean and minimal

old navy is a "budget" kid's, more brightly colored "fun" store. cheaper but more available. lots to choose from

>> No.10459484

Both are shit.
Shit fit, shit quality, shit OP.
Kill yourself, lurk moar faggot.

Yeah but they're owned by the same company, so I'm wondering if they're pretty much the same pants cus they look so similar.

wouldn't the sensible option then be to go and try them, feel them, examine each of them? in person?

first of all, why u so mad tho

second, I like the belt because its held up, and has "infinity" amount of holes, which is why I've had it for so long. I can make it tight or loose as I wish. its a simple belt. it serves the purpose.

and yes, my description is correct. the image gap tries to convey is one of "classy minimalism" or sort've a more "urban prep". lots of solid colors, lots of "classic items", etc.

depends on your reference point. are they "top-tier"? of course fucking not. they can be found at your local mall. I was comparing the two.

its just funny to me that something like a "belt" can be so argued over because it serves such a simple purpose. it doesn't take "top quality" leather to make a good belt.

old navy is very very disposable. gap is less so.

its not the apex of fashion, but the dismissive "OMG LIKE WUt LOL" is just, idk excessive

Okay, here's a side by side.
http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=85456&vid=2&pid=919385002

http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=1026780&vid=2&pid=153229042

If you zoom in, you can clearly see that they are 100% identical by looking at the coin pocket and the stitching on the belt loops. I can't find a difference.

generally, Old Navy's fits and materials are worse (hence why they are cheaper)

it's Banana Republic's ultra-budget line to compete with H&M, Primark, et al.

Banana Republic: upper middle class mall-tier
GAP: middle class mall-tier
Old Navy: poorfag tier

You can visit the stores and judge for yourself.

We have an outlet mall here so the stuff here is different from what they put online/at the actual stores. During clearance time things get ridiculously cheap though I've seen old navy pants for $5 cause no one wanted loose fitting pants but rolled up or hemmed they would look ok.

If you're looking for pic related you can find chinos everywhere. Probably target or marshalls is cheapest.

ok but why would anyone willingly wear khakis unless it's for work/costume

pointing out the offendingly/boringly obvious fact of gap's low quality on a forum dedicated to fashion is "so much autism"? i'm sure he considered it the chore that it was to write that post
