Me too. I still do it a little sometimes, just because it's really easy to shape your hair the way you want it for how you're styling it. I still leave it pretty wavy though, just to make sure the curls aren't complete chaos, which is pretty helpful to do with a quiff.

Depends on what you do. I work out three times a week so my medium length hair needs a thorough cleaning every 3-4 days from the sweat and stuff.

I'd say only shampoo and condition it as needed when its oily and going to cause you to break out on your neck and look greasy.

youre making Dude Hair 101 mistake, which is keeping it too short + thinking you can cut or style your curl out. grow it out like 1-2 inches longer and learn to use a thin flatiron. itll stay straight until you get it wet again so learn to use dry shampoo, dont wash every day (this dries it out too much to heat style anyway), start conditioning. you could also go apeshit and buy a brazilian/japanese straightening treatment but your roots will still grow in curly so itll only last a few months tops

the experts all say you have to spend like $300 on a CHI or a Babyliss or w/e and im sure it actually matters if you're a hairstylist or anyone other than an impoverished student who just wants to look less like an owl pellet but you can get an iron that does the job for $20-$60. i havent used the really nice ones and couldn't tell you the difference between the normie ones ive used so anything will probably work.

the important thing is that for short hair (most men's styles, in other words) you need a VERY small iron. 1/2" or even thinner.
