Anyone want to sell or trade Cav Empt pieces?

Some people follow the label like a cult. Others hate it.

Personally I think Cav Empt is hit or miss. In previous years, the brands has created numerous grail status pieces. Lately it has fallen rather flat.

I'm mostly looking for the older stuff.

Look at the listings on Grailed trying to sell the plague hoodie for like a $60 markup. Thats just the beginning. Obviously its not going to rise to Supreme levels of hype where you need a bot, but it will probably do you a service if youre there within a few hours of the items going on sale.

a quick google told me that it's some kind of Babylonian temple?

Also, I'm new to fashion and found it strange they have so little on their website. Are they one of the brands that do "drops" and every product is short lived and super exclusive? How do I keep up with it?

Quality wise most if not everything is great. I would advise going for more of the Made in Japan stuff (the ones with ziggurat patches are all Japan-made but it's not just them)
All the pieces I own were more than worth it.
Size wise, everything released before FW 2014-5 needs to be one size up from your normal, except outerwear, they usually run tts or even larger.
Tees and LSs that release now are more tts than they used to be.

Yah I see that we're still only at 14 posters, so it's not like there's that much interest, I just wondered what happened. Why can't /fa/ just time its interests correctly and not come off as trying to bite a style that's already on its way out. Same with 99% of the threads here that are designer specific. I dunno how people who are actually into fashion feel a complacency to just "take whatever trickles down" from tumblr blogs, like we see with C.E. right now. There is for sure, but the reward of immediately knowing a hundred designers that no one's going to have heard of is unparalleled. It'll take you a long time to develop the knowledge of the "Western scene" to the point where you can sniff out unseen talent and obscured beauty. Also Japanese is quite a bit more difficult than Chinese on the whole, but maybe somewhat equivalent for just learning enough to shop.

Oh my no, it'll be years and years most likely until you're fluent. Perhaps six months would be enough to search garments though, hard to say. You really benefit from being in Asia first off, as you can accrue a working knowledge of brands that will be sold in larger online retailers, at which point you can just click around to see the other names that they stock (this is true of Japan, not so much China--just the way that clothing is networked respective to their countries can't speak on Korea so much, but there are a lot of great retailers that host hundreds of top-tier designers (in english too.))

I just read fashion magazines, anyone will do. /fa/ serves zero function for keeping track of the fashion scene other than to see what aestheto-social trends are reaching critical mass. I don't mean this in a purely negative way, I find it pretty interesting to see play out.

Oh, and if you want a decent way to speed things up, just download a few Asian SuFu city guides, check the stores they rec. then see if they have websites. From there just look who aggregates them with others and check to see what else you like that accompany them. Then the next step is figuring out how to import it, should you want to do more than just talk about up-and-coming designers online.

Usually I'll watch a show or something, then I'll see who has covered that designer, check out the mag on a case-by-case basis. Often times they're too hip for their own good, but if you're just looking to find names there's no problem.
