Hey unfortunately proportioned person here. I started growing my hair out last year and i like it, but it ended up being really curly. Photo prolly doesnt show it well cause im using some medicated shampoo that makes it really dry and shitty then I slept on it.

My problem is I have a really large forehead, no that is no recession you see, just a giant forehead with a widows peak. How are you supposed to style your hair when its like this? If my hair was straight id do some bangs or a side swept thing maybe but i dont really know what to do when its curly. Any actual tips appreciated~

best thing to do is always wash in the evening. If you need to sleep, tie up your hair and it dries quit well with little frizz. I've heard it's best to wear a showercap, although that could be strange. If you really need to dry it quick, use a heat diffuser on your hair dryer on lowest temperature possible, although i've been tieing it up whilst still abit wet and have good results.

You can't speed the process sadly. Main factor dictating when it begins to hang is how curly it is, depending on starting length, assuming buzzcut and wavy hair, it would take at least a year and a half to get out of growing stage - a good 10 months of that your hair will be awkward af.

Curly hair grows really really slow by appearances cause its going to coil up quite a bit and hide its true length. Mines right about my shoulders but if i stretch it its well past my collarbone. It's gonna take a lot of patients, plenty of time to read up on how to style curly hair tho.

I never rocked the beanies, during the mid stages i just rocked straightened haircuts and had it cut to look good while straightening and it let it grow like that. Then when i got long enough for me to wear it curly i just slowly cut off the ends till it was all even.

You don't have to go that route but its way easier and more motivating to find hairstyles that look ok while you grow it out vs hiding your head for 18 months. Otherwise you might not even make it cause youll see your reflection get discouraged and cut it off. Its way easier but a bit slower to just slowly get it cut into longer and longer hairstyles till its desired length then you can even it all off.

I have this kind of cut, this length or maybe a little longer. But I'm having a motherfucker of a time keeping the hair out of my face. Walking around, wind, looking down to eat, etc make my hair fall forward over my face and it's annoying as fuck. How do I make it stay on the sides? I use medium hold matte paste. if you want an honest advice - keep your hair short..
long hair requires more attention and is rarely worth it.. unless youre a grill, chances are pretty low that you will pull it off decently.. 90% of men look much better with short hair..
