Let me clarify a bit of what I'm looking for. I really like minimalism, in both music and art. I want to extend this to my wardrobe.

I think that what the fashion world calls "minimalism" sort of awkwardly straddles the line between basic pieces and avant-garde geometric edge.

Pic related is on the "basic" side, though the Stans could probably be replaced with something else.

This is on the "basic" side, too, though I really do not like the sandals here.

Compare to this fit, which ventures more into the "geometric edge" side of minimalism. Some of Rick's works might fall into this category, too.

Perhaps the "basic" side seems to capture the feelings evoked by Steve Reich, etc. better - but I really don't know - and besides, it's, well, basic.

What are peoples' thoughts on this? Anyway, post inspo.
