As a current Soldier I can say that at least 20% of the people in active duty are straight up obese, and those numbers only increase in the reserves and national guard. Most people in the military are above average in fitness, but only a small amount are truly /fit/izens.

Alpha is great. I have an M65 (that i modified a bit, you should too) that I've worn pretty much every time I've needed a jacket for the last five years and it's still looking pretty fantastic. I've lost some weight, though, so i should probably get it taken in, but other than that, it's perfect.

Size down one size if you're not fit, two sizes if you are.

Also, maybe wait for the 50th anniversary jacket from alpha. I want that fucker.

I'm in the Army and have no problem with people wearing military clothing. I do have a problem that there are people in the world wanting to represent or be recognized as something that they are not.

Also, it's funny how anyone who serves wants to get out of uniform as quickly as they can when the day is over, but those not in the military think it's fashionable.
