Should I cop this bag? It's $200, but has a lot of storage space.
Also, does anyone know any good Scandinavian brands for backpacks and other items? Looking for a bag that doesn't make me look basic.

I like that bag OP, but the Kanken might be a more affordable option. I'm thinking about copping pic related and sticking something over the branding (a patch or something). Thoughts? Herschel bags seem to be everywhere in my uni for some reason.

Here's mine. I haven't had a good experience with any minimalist bags; they all seem to have really terrible construction and aren't meant to carry much of anything. I got this because it's practical and looks decent, doesn't overplay the tacticool MOLLE bullshit I think. I only wish that it didn't have the velcro patch strips. ~$90

It also has a water bladder compartment on the back, which has thick plastic padding to prevent impact damage I guess. It gives the thing structure and is extremely useful. So far I've taken off the stupid sternum straps and added pouches on both sides for some extra space.

Am I making an ass of myself for wearing this and not being in the military?

Seconding Mission Workshop. They're expensive as balls but worth it. If you want a different sort of design (and cheaper) you could get an Alchemy Goods bag. I have one that's held up well and it's mostly recycled materials.

Recently came to the conclusion that I need a man purse. Loving the look of the skagen sling pack. I wear a suit 5 days a week. The part I like most about this bag is I could wear it off of one shoulder or when I'm wearing casual clothes I can just wear it like a sling... Thoughts?
