I need a new watch, my timex weekender is way too fucking loud but I like the general style. Are there any alternatives besides the Seiko 5? I really don't like its design

Has anyone got/tried a komono watch? They look pretty cool

>Are there any alternatives besides the Seiko 5?

go to amazon, look up Lorus/Pulsar watches if you wanna stay with quartz. they belong to Seiko too. no loud ticking ever. all kinds of styles, cheap and reliable.

Casio analog watches are fine and never tick as loudly.

Swatch is fine too with a shitload of different designs (gent line is 34mm diameter and new gent 41mm diameter) if you wanna have something quirky and still effay but save for the irony line, they probably will tick louder because of ETA movements.

avoid Komono if you can, they are oversized anyway and their strap designs are more expensive than the watches themselves. I like what they did with the straps though but that case size is retarded.

yeah, this as well.

again, just avoid fashion &designer brands.
go for longer established watch brands (well, Braun is somewhere inbetween but they know about engineering and electronics and what not so they know what they are doing)

The strap is a little thin compared to my bambino (pic related), but it's high quality nonetheless, stitched and all that

Face looks nice as hell, has a sunburst effect and raised numbers. Not sure if yours would have it, but it is an automatic

It's quartz but I got it for under 300 so I was happy with it. If you like the sleeker black design it's a great watch, but I think the black one is a little too minimal for something that's $500.

I wear my 035 all the time with pretty casual clothes and I'm in college, you'll be fine especially with the black dial version. It's a moderate size with a pretty masculine shaped case and metal bracelet, I'd call it more of a sport watch than a classic dress watch anyway.
