How are high and tights treated nowadays outside of the military? Is there some sort of high and tight / undercut mix that one could get to emphasize a strong jaw?

I'm looking for something that is obviously longer on top and short on the sides like the classic /fa/ undercut, but I wanted it to be shorter overall and probably with less styling. Just something simple and manly.

I have literally no idea how to get my hair cut, or how to style it (probably fairly obvious). Getting some suggestions would be great.

I've been considering a caesar for a while just because I like the look of shaved sides with slight length on top, but hate the HY because every Filipino guy in the world has one.

I am actually in the military and this is what I have. Undercuts violate regulation because they don't taper. Solution is pic related. 0 blade on the sides that fades up, but leaves enough that you can side part it. It has the principles of an undercut (short on sides, long on top) but more modest. Obviously Young Leo looks awful in its current state, just put it in to demonstrate how a middle part would look.

I feel like I'm hindered by babbyjaw and I am always working to lost weight (6'2" 150 currently). The current iteration was cut by my roommate, looking to get something new. It's a little damp but you get the idea.

Any advice other than killing myself?
