I'm from Newcastle and love London as a city, there's more to do in London in a month than at Newcastle in a year. But the people make it unbearable at times, in Newcastle people hold doors open for you, smile, say hello and you can hold a conversation with anyone wherever you go, I often share taxi's with people I don't know just to save a fare. NONE of that happens in London, everyone is incredibly rude and obnoxious. The place is /fa/ but the people really aren't.

In terms of culture, exhibitions at galleries in Newcastle last 6 months, while in London they last 1-3. Also every fucking band (that matters to me) goes to London and completely skips Newcastle. And Leeds/Manchester/Liverpool are all still 60 quid journeys, I prefer to spend extra money on going to London tbf.
