what kind of product do you use in your hair /fa/?

>> No.10254005

i use american crew fiber in moderation

additionally i have some of that foamy white stuff from a spray can that gives my hair a little more hold and volume when i use shampoo and it gets too flimsy

it works for me, although thus far i have been only openly complimented on my hair once or twice
that might be because i don't leave the house often enough though, i think my hair looks nice most of the time

When I was in high school the Filipino guys would all share hair gel; they'd buy these huge tubs of gel from the dollar store and the stuff was basically industrial strength glue. Every year one of the Filipino had his locker jammed so that his friends could always go in and get some if needed
I told some friends about that
Then about two years ago we ran into one of those guys at the supermarket and he was holding one of those tubs of gel
Personally I use Bumble and Bumble styling products though

I use some sea salt spray when I get out of the shower, and once it's reached just a damp state I put pic related. Works pretty well. It is a little expensive, but you don't need much of it in a day.

You lot really need to get over this American Crew nonsense. I guess it's popular with you all because you're just beginning to grasp the concept of using hair products, but move past it and get to the good stuff quickly.

Kevin Murphy makes terrific pastes/wax/etc.

Goldwell spray wax is even better. Very little goes a long way and it doesn't make your hair stick together (washes out in the shower easily).

Rene Furterer also makes excellent products, especially the sculpting wax spray and the matte paste.

Also, davines' products--paste, mousse, etc--are fantastic.

All of these are somewhat pricey (although that is a relative thing) but much, much better than anything American Crew has ever or will ever make.

It's a matte paste, I prefer it to American Crew.

>lighter consistency makes it easier to apply
>no clumping
>good matte finish, no shine at all
>inexpensive and available most places

It's made for women but smells like regular shampoo and it's better for messy men's hair tbh. I have fine straight hair and it's great for me.

One of the best products I've used is Morris Motley's Treatment Styling Balm. It's a super soft cream that doesn't clump but has high hold and remains pliable throughout the day. You can apply as much as you need. Washes pretty easily too. Superior to any Hanz De Fuko products to be honest and most things you'll come across.

I have straight, thin hair that likes to stick together and fall flat. I'd like to give it some more volume but if I use wax it usually just weights it down in a couple hours.
