I usually wear them with darker denim (either raw indigo or old pairs of black jeans I have). I was at work there and it was laundry day. Wish they worked better with lighter washes

I've never taken them hiking of backpacking. They're pretty comfortable but if you wear them all day, your feet do start to get sore and it feels great taking them off. Your sole and heels are protected very nicely, as well as toes even though it doesn't have a steel toe, but it doesn't provide very much protection to your ankles. I've had these maybe a couple of months

sometimes I wish I bought the tan ones for pale looks but the sage go better with black imo

Yeah I feel like a pale color would be a bit rougher with black than the sage, but I can picture a brighter or desert army boot color working well with black, and maybe some pales too but I'm not sure I'd have to see an actual fit.
