I checked (American) Ebay for ordinary GATs, but I couldn't find them in Size 11 US (Adidas sizing).
There used to be a listing on Ebay I had bookmarked about a month ago, but that's obviously gone now. Anyone know where to get a pair for GATs in size 11, preferably below $70? (I know there's some Etsy thing that sells it for about $80 here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/220625237/mens-white-vintage-german-army-trainers but that's just too much for a pair of GATs.)

Wouldn't you rather have a gorgeous shoe made of quality materials in Italy that will turn heads and get you compliments everywhere you go, not to mention one that will last you for years, instead of some ugly pieces of shit that will fall apart in a month and look like they've been through a fire in about a week?

Lining is indeed leather, but the insole is of a soft synthetic material that is replaceable for 2$ in some ebay stores. I find wearing the BD Gats easier to wear without socks than the Margielas when I tried MMM's in store. Bottom line for me was just that they merit so much for the price, and they look more versatile than the adidas. They have a more warm color scheme than the MMM's, too. It's a cream, not a gray.

Can you explain to me why it's worth buying Visvim sneakers? I never really got it. The designs aren't that original, and I'm sure you can get better versions of Chucks from other designers for less that are still really good quality.

For me and most others that buy vis usually buy it after trying it on. The quality is second to none but the American/EU retailers that sell for the price aren't worth it. I bought 2013 Visvim Lhamo Folks for 430$ from a proxy while the price from a retailer like END or Norsestore or BB are around 700$. The Kudu suede, the leather insole, the cuff, removeabe flaps, and just the construction make them so worthwhile and very versatile.
