If I were to cut my hair down to shoulder length, would I need to tell the stylist anything special? I've seen guys with curly or wavy hair get it cut down shorter and it end up looking poofy and stuff at the ends. Any way to prevent that?

Also, would cutting my hair possibly make it fluffier on the sides since it's being being pulled down by as much weight?

What should I do with my hair?

Pic is me out of the shower, i just put product in it and tried to comb it over but I think I just look really stupid, I'm not a good-looking guy but I want a haircut that will look nice on me. I want to have a really cool hairstyle but I'm worried I'll just look like a tryhard loser

Is product necessary to make hair do interesting things? In theory I would like to grow my hair out and look like Jim Raynor (right), but I know for a fact that I just end up looking like Vincent Kartheiser (left).

the front gets really curly about an inch from my scalp and it annoys me

You can rinse it out with baking soda/ Apple cider vinegar. When I used to no poo that's all I used and my hair was fine. Now I shampoo/condition once a week.

Just make sure if you go with baking soda you follow up with the vinegar. It will throw your PH out of whack if you only do the baking soda.

To elaborate on the fiber/forming cream difference, here is a shit pic of me with a shit beard but my hair had Crew fiber in it here. Pretty sure forming cream was what I used in the other pic.

Basically fiber hardens it and makes it look straighter in a way, forming cream kind of adds a fluffier texture.

I had an undercut with the top growing for the past year and the sides/back growing for over 10 months. (front comes to my mouth when pulled down) I had shoulder length hair a few years ago and wanted to grow it back until recently hating the idea.

What should I do with it? I want to get a shorter cut but my face isn't defined at all. I'm aware my jawline is shit/nonexistent; I used to be really fat until losing 60 pounds and realizing my face is naturally chubby and round.

/fa/nons, I need your help.

Long story short, I found out I have female pattern baldness so unless I use rogaine for the rest of my life I'm going to end up like those old balding Chinese grannies in a few years.

If it gets really gross, I'm okay with shaving it all off, but before that point I'd rather go with a shorter, more qt hairstyle. Pic related is what it looks like now - it goes down to the bottom of my shoulder blades in the back and needs an extreme side part to cover up the thinning (gross), and it's also seriously lacking in volume.

what shorter hairstyles would look alright and preferably would hide a rather wide parting/thinning hair?
