I'm Japanese, and I'd like to know more about both Japanese brands/designers and fits based on Japanese clothing (or just stuff that works on asians in general). Stuff like that.

There are tons of japanese designers and names that pass through this board that might interest you. There isn't really a specific style for asians and there is a huge amount of brand diversity so try to be open minded.

Some of the more popular names:

Yohji Yamamoto
Visvim
Beams+
Undercover
Julius/MA Julius
Mihara Yasuhiro
Sasquatchfabrix
Comme De Garcons
Issey Miyake
Junya Watanabe
Kazuyuki Kumagai

Honestly so many, way more than I can name off the top of my head

Pic related, one of my favorite Yohji runway looks

They're hardly unwearable. Just cz its not streetwear doesnt mean you cant wear em, unless you have some weird aversion to modern tailoring, suiting, and related stuff.

Beams is literally Jap UO

General research and all x-research (mountain, naval, etc)
Go to harajuku and just browse random stores, and if you dont mind thrifting japan is a treasure trove.
Thats just general stuff, what sort of clothig are you after? I remember seeing quite a few streetwear esque things in Harajuku.

Oh and probably iSetan is worth a visit for more designer focused grown up stuff

What size Kapital should I get?
I don't think they even make 31 pants which would be a safe buy for me, now I'm not sure if I should go for 32 or 30 with Kapital.

speaking as someone who lives in tokyo and works in fashion, shimo isn't that great

it's got a ton of great used clothing stores but the street fashion is pretty boring. it's basically just an exaggerated version of what artistic types in the west dress like. it's interesting in that it's not as wealth-dependent as other kinds of tokyo fashion but it doesn't really speak to me.

harajuku is good, lots of spillover into shibuya too (since the stations are a ten minute walk away). harajuku has way too many kids wearing hba though.

omotesando/aoyama and daikanyama are really cool for higher end shit that's worn tastefully. generally much less ostentatious.
