It's summer and its really sunny so I was thinking of getting a nice pair of Rx sunglasses. I have a general idea of what I want (minimalist, subtly feminine, black or brown, no giant cateye quirky special snowflake SJW shit)

How are these? It adds up to around $100 if I get it polarized (lots of reflection off skyscrapers, swimming pools) with oil-resistant coating and high index shit for my blind ass. The frames themselves are dirt cheap.

I just don't want something that says obnoxious basic bitch woo girl shit.

Furthermore, I realize that sunglasses almost by definition tend to be huge, which I'm guessing is to cover the peripheral vision? But that's the opposite of what I'm going for, aesthetically.

Tried those. Didn't really care for the way they look but I guess looking like one of those rainbow hairs is unavoidable.

Just get something classic and mostly traditional. Go to a store, try shit on, avoid cateye bullshit and typical sporty eyewear (unless, you know, you expect to play lots of beach volleyball or something). Sunglasses are meant to be larger to have fuller UV protection cover so avoid tiny frames.
Do that and you're already doing better than 90% of the population.

Something with a little more definition then, but still minimal would be more rectangular frames - I know you're looking for rx glasses but you could either visit a sunglass hut or use their "home try-on" option to try out some different frames and find something that really complements your face first before committing.
