Are the TMA-2s good? Inb4 Beats, they look and sound like shite.

>> No.10062188

Christ, no. At least get some Sennheiser CX-300s.

Headphones only look shit when they're covered in logos and flashy colours. The ones OP posted actually look pretty nice.

I use the Sennheiser HD25s because I'm a DJ and they're pretty much industry standard.

For over ear, a basic entry level pair that is good for both cost and performance are the ATH-M50's by audio Technica. If you want something a little more refined, I have always been partial to the products Shure puts out, particularly the Shure 840 and the Shure 940. I also like their IEM's such as the 215 but I am particularly fond of Vsonic's GR07 as well.

TMA-2s are DJ headphones. They have recessed treble and louder mids/bass. They're basically made so you can hear the kick through a loud set. They do look cool though. not for casual listening.

Have either of you used or owned a pair, or are you just spouting bullshit?

The build quality is excellent. The headband is indestructible and all the parts are replacement. It has four different sound profiles so you can choose the cup depending on the preference. It has a flat response, punchy (for djing), warm and vibrant options.

At least do a bit of research or own a pair before saying they break or are only for DJs.

i also have sony xb-500's for bassnectar. iirc they are the most rumbly headphones ever produced.

ipod classic and yuin pk3 for portable listening. not much but they sound incredible for $30

bamboo audioengine a5+ and a wireless polk sub for speakers, with a bellari vp130 preamp that i only use when i want a nice warm tone bc it's warm af.

somebody recommend me a turntable, i've been looking at the AT-LP120 because it's not too pricey and has a usb out.

by all means go for the senns or shures, i use yuins myself because i don't like non-custom fit iem's (with earpods as my backup for when they inevitably die). been looking at the astrotec lyras because they're /fa/ af, but i've heard the price is apparently mostly for the build quality and not so much the sound
