i mean seriously dude. ive been on 10 mile walks, across rivers, up to my knees in mud, had to climb over shit, smacked it on some rocks, scaled rock walls, had to jump shit, just fucking carry it dude. sling it around your neck if you need your hands.
i used to carry my camera bag slung over one shoulder swung around onto the small of my back like those fanny packs you see in vietnam movies on the ILBE system. but i quickly realized i didnt need all that extra shit. nifty fifty was small, lighter, easier, and just more convenient in every way. if i need to zoom ill just use my feet. i would like a wide angle lens, prime obviously, id probably just throw it in my pocket.
if im going on a trip, itll just sit in my backpack, the dust cover popped off once and filled with shit, so it rides with the nifty fifty with lens cover on now instead. id be totally lost without that lens.

I throw my Sony Nex 5r in my backpack usually. If i'm not taking a backpack i've just got a little camera case on a shoulder strap which i can use.
