that shit is heavy contour, if someone actually wears that publicly they look like a clown. You can tell they painted their face. In pictures you can't always tell but face to face if you are actually "deceived" by this shit you have shit for eyes.

women have found ways to make something like super thin eyebrows look full naturally. or ways to make their lips look bigger or hide their acne and can actually do it while looking natural. my friend thickens her eyebrows and covers her acne scar and people always tell her they never knew. wven somwthing as simple as evening skin tone or hiding dark circles is deceiving. its very possible to make look natural with the right makeup

cool good for her, but you didn't post a touch of concealer on a scar or someone filling in their eyebrows, you posted someone painting their face to look like a different face. if someone can conceal things have it look natural it's probably because it wasn't a big flaw so it's not as big of a deal in my opinion. not gonna argue though cause makeup isn't something everyone likes so you can think its gross if you want.

I think the problem is when you judge a girl that wears little or no makeup in the same regard as someone who wears a full face.
It's all good and well saying that makeup is deceiving and that you only need lip balm, and mascara, but at the end of the day the girls who are wearing very little makeup is probably considered unattractive (barring models of course), compared to someone on the same level wearing more.
I live in a hot climate and only wear light makeup but I'm not gonna judge someone wearing more, it's their decision.
None of them are trying to lure in innocent men (lol) they're just wearing what makes them confident.
It's like saying an ugly guy that dresses well is deceiving women compared to someone naturally handsome with shit clothes.
No, they're just using what is in their disposal to make themselves feel better about themselves.

it doesn't. You can't compare hiding a scar or accentuating features to painting on an entirely different fucking face using stage makeup technique.

Btw what you linked is stage makeup. The makeup used for theatre is super thick and meant to make your face look entirely different and stay caked on under hot ass stage lights. It's also something you have to learn in school. Your basic bitch can paint faces like that.

I feel like cat eyes/wings are played out now. Every time I see a look with big old wings I'm like "eh, seen it before".

At the moment I'm enjoying subtle/naked eyes, a sheer glossy blush built up where needed and stained lips. Kind of a more wearable version of pic related. I just like the drama of that photo.
It looks a bit pre-raphaelite to me, and so much fresher for summer because it works best over more naked skin, freckles showing through just adds to it.

Anything to 'done' in the eyes is feeling staid to me at the moment. All these piles of eyeshadow palettes and long lasting/easy use eyeliners out means everyone and their mum has a nude smokey shadow/winged eye at an arms reach every day and if another person tells me how the naked palette changed their life I'm never talking about make up in person again.
Undone eyes with either statement cheeks or a bold lipstick are so much more appealing to me at the moment.
Same with heavy foundations. I'm lucky because my skin is clear at the moment, but still I find foundation thinly over redness/uneven tone and concealing with a tiny brush specifically on blemishes works so much better than a thick foundation to cover everything.

>> No.10047141

This post is my jam. With all the 'fat acceptance' shit bold make up and cat flicks are getting some bad rep. It's all about subtlety. If you're ugly then you just chill and hope that someone finds your kind of ugly attractive.

I don't know what it's like where you are, but the women I see around here take 'light summer make up' as eyeliner, foundation and bare everything else for the most part.
If it's toned down at all.

But I wasn't just talking about summer in particular, I just mentioned it's a look that works well now because it doesn't feel heavy like heavy eye looks can.
I think emphasis on cheeks/lips rather than the eyes works better all year round. Cat eyes didn't just feel over once summer hit.

Fair play.

I say it from personal experience, I used to wear loads of make up to cover up my alcohol soaked sleep deprived zit skin. Improved diet, got /fit/, cut make up for like 4 months. Also got a proper skincare routine.

The way make up goes on now is so much better, I only need a little powder, don't need use a highlighter or concealer and i just use it to subtly frame my face.

With the amount of money these models are paid to look good, there is no reason why they wouldn't have even more discipline.

If feel embarrassed to even post in this thread. I went all throughout high school not knowing how to put on makeup. Now my routine entails moisturizing face, rubbing in a small amount of primer, brushing in a very minimal amount of foundation, concealing under my eyes and on spots, shitty eyeliner/mascara, and a pressed powder. My lips are light for my complexion so maybe a light layer of lipstick.

I'm not that big of a fan of makeup. I just don't wear any makeup at all most of the time. When i do, i just put on a little bit of mascara and maybe eyeliner, and a coloured lip balm. I own a few eyeshadows -white for highlighting and two shades of brown- but i hardly ever use them.
I completely agree with >>10047310 To me, it's all about trying to fix your skin, and not cover up your problems.
This is a makeup i'd wear for a special occasion, something like pic related: mascara, a nice lip colour. Maybe a soft-coloured eyeshadow too. I don't think i'd do my brows as they're blonde and fine and i don't know what the hell to do with them anyways. She's definitely wearing more than that, but you get my point.
