My dad used to wear a Seiko before I bought him a rolex. Great watches. I'm thinking of getting myself one, what's a clean, dressy looking model?

I do not consider seiko as a dressy brand IMO,
My tissot i consider to be dressy

How much is that model? Looks great.
I'm currently rocking pic related and looking for a second watch.

Tissots are more dressy but you can get an acceptable looking Seiko for way cheaper, although I would definitely recommend a Visodate

Thinking of copping for mostly casual wear.
Not too dressy is it?
I want something metal I can wear with anything but actual sports watches, on my skinny faggot wrists look like I strapped a wall-clock to my arm.

Are you okay with a 40mm dial? The one in your picture looks really effeminate.

Here's a 35-36mm watch on me, I feel it has about the right proportions, just a gaudy colour choice because I had questionable taste when I was 20.

>> No.10037525

>>10037506
I think a 40 mm would look much better on your write in my opinion. Go to a jeweler and ask to try on some different sizes, that's definitely too small.

You can never go wrong with an ecko watch.

They go great with a wife beater and some camo shorts

Might spring for something like this then.
I heard that mechanical watches need servicing every few years, you had that done? How much do you reckon it'd cost?

>> No.10037582

>>10037579
I actually haven't needed to have a service on either of mine as they've been keeping time perfectly for years. I doubt the servicing will be more than $100 though.

I bought that fossil ten years ago when I was a brokeboi. I wanted something similar to the omega speedmaster and the watch still works. it's not waterproof and when I took it to get the battery replaced the guy said the crown was rusted. save your money and cop a speedmaster when you can afford it.

Tissot Automatics III i bought it for around 500 bucks (more expensive in Sweden though)

Orient is a great brand. They have an in house movement which is something only most luxury brands have. I just ordered one myself and have been nothing but impressed. They are definitely on their way up as a company.

All of the servicing info is available on the website. It's really not expensive (depending on what you need done, etc).
